“One of the most important days of my life was when I learned to ride a bicycle.”
- Michael Palin, English comedian, actor, writer and television presenter
Is there any better feeling than the thrill of a bike ride with friends? No doubt you remember feeling a new-found sense of independence when you finally got the hang of riding on two wheels.
Due to different ability levels and life circumstances, some children have not experienced this rite of passage. Bike for Life wants to change that! Bike for Life is a five-day camp designed to help individuals learn how to ride bicycles.

Who We Are |
We are a small team of volunteers and non-profit organizations with a shared passion for providing opportunities to those who want to learn to ride a bike. Our goal as a team is to help instill confidence in the individuals to learn to ride a bike by the end of the week without training wheels or any other assistance.

What It Is |
"Bike for Life" is a week long day camp for individuals who want to learn to ride a bike. Volunteers and specially designed bikes are the key components to the program. The bikes are specially designed and modified to help support any level of experience, physical disability and intellectual or developmental disability. There are four sessions each day where volunteers will partner with individuals who experience disability to help them learn to balance, pedal, steer and ultimately ride a bike independently.
