Tools for Daily Living
Come learn about a variety of assistive technology tools to help your child be more independent and successful in daily activities. You will learn what assistive technology tools are, about tools already built into devices, and explore useful apps. You will also have the opportunity to learn from 2 parents of children with disabilities, who will share their experiences, strategies, and tech tips. Caregivers, school staff, community members, and professionals are welcome to come share and learn together!
Bio: Amanda Wallace, MS, CCC-SLP received her master’s degree in communication sciences and disorders at Nova Southeastern University in 2013. She is currently working as a speech language pathologist specializing in assistive technology for High Desert Education Service District. Amanda works with students birth-21 and provides assistive technology evaluations, coaching and consultation to school teams, and training for school districts within Central Oregon.
